Gun Dog Training

Most of our guidelines for training are very similar in nature between the gun dog and the trial dog. The difference you will see between the 2 is distance, concepts and more intense training program. The foundation for both the field and the trial dog are the same. Open the document below to see the basic training guidelines for a gundog. Once your dog completes these guidelines he will be a fine companion to have in the duck blind or goose field and still be a great companion around the house. Some expectations at this point would be tracking birds in the air, steadiness to shot, multiple marks and simple handling. Everything a true hunter wants in the blind.
